Invisalign in Concord, NH and braces are both excellent choices when it comes to straightening your teen’s teeth, but more young people prefer Invisalign and for good reason.

Invisalign is more discreet, which makes teens feel better about their orthodontic treatment. They aren’t advertising therapy to their peers but straightening their smiles without metal and wires.

Invisalign Teen in Concord, NH

Invisalign relies on a series of clear tooth aligners to bring teeth in line over time. Your teen wears an aligner for about two weeks before moving on to the next, and so on. As they move through their supply, teeth become straighter.

Your teen can remove their aligners when eating and cleaning their teeth. Then, they will only need to visit the dentist periodically to make sure the treatment is working as predicted.

Traditional Braces

Teens often feel insecure in traditional braces, but the system can correct many orthodontic issues just like Invisalign, including:

  • Crooked, twisted, and overlapping teeth
  • Gaps or uneven spacing between teeth
  • Bite issues, including overbite

With braces, your teen’s dentist cements wire brackets to every tooth and lines them with guidewires. Then, every few weeks, your teen comes into our dental office for wire adjustments.

Unlike Invisalign, your young person cannot remove their aligners during meals or clean their teeth.

Invisalign or Braces for Your Teenager?

The first step is a consultation in our dental office. Our dentist can determine whether orthodontics is the right step, and then we can move forward with treatment.

If your teen prefers Invisalign over traditional braces, we will let you know the costs and how long orthodontic treatment will last.
