To replace a single missing tooth, an implant provides the benefit of being a solution for only the area of concern. With a bridge, or fixed partial denture, the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth need to be prepared for a crown to act as bridge abutments. With a partial, the adjacent teeth would be required to bear the support of the missing removable tooth with clasps.
How Implants are Different
An implant is titanium root replacement with an abutment and crown that screws into it, resulting in a fixed prosthetic. It is cosmetic and easily cleaned. Please contact us to discuss if this option may be right for you.
