How do you decide how often to take dental x-rays?

Our office follows the American Dental Association (ADA) and US Department of Health and Human Service’s Dental Radiographic Examination Guidelines. These guidelines have been designed to limit radiation exposure to the patient, while also enabling us to diagnose oral and dental disease properly and provide standard of care. We assess intervals based on your individual history of dental work and disease risk. Please ask our office if you have further questions.
